Compare Attack, Crit, and Effect Builds

How It Works
Each build applies a fixed illustrative stat profile to your base attack and attack speed. Attack build multiplies attack by 1.5 but keeps low crit. Crit build keeps base attack but uses 60% crit rate and 150% crit damage. Effect build keeps moderate crit and adds an effect multiplier (proc rate x bonus). DPS is attack x speed x the damage multiplier for that build. The comparison shows which profile wins for your numbers; the profiles are assumptions, not a specific game's classes.
What Should You Do?
Crit builds scale hard once crit rate and crit damage are high, but they need both stats invested. Effect builds depend entirely on proc rate and bonus, so they suit builds where those are naturally high. Attack builds are simplest and most consistent. Test your own stat numbers, and remember survivability and utility are not in this DPS math.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these build profiles real classes?
No. They are illustrative stat templates (e.g., crit build = 60% crit, 150% crit damage) for comparing playstyles.
Why does Crit win in the example?
Because 60% crit at 150% crit damage multiplies damage a lot. Lower those and Attack or Effect can pull ahead.
What is the effect multiplier?
An illustrative bonus from procs (e.g., 30% chance to add 40% damage). Raise it if your build leans on effects.
Does attack speed matter equally?
Yes, it scales all builds linearly, so faster attacks help every build by the same factor.
Should I only pick the highest DPS?
DPS is one axis. Defense, healing, and utility matter too; this tool isolates damage for comparison only.
