How Long to Reach Your Target Level

In this illustrative model, going from level 1 to 60 with an XP curve of base 1000 and exponent 1.5 takes roughly 25 million total XP. At 50,000 XP per hour and 3 hours a day, that is about 167 hours, or 56 days of play. Higher levels cost far more XP, so the last ten levels take longer than the first thirty. The curve below shows cumulative XP climbing steeply toward the end.

GamesFig uses illustrative game math models with assumed numbers for planning and comparison. These are not official statistics, patch-accurate values, or data from any specific game. Real in-game values differ by title, patch, and build. Treat all results as estimates.

How It Works

We model XP per level as base x (level ^ exponent), a common RPG-style rising curve. Total XP is the sum of that value from your current level up to one below the target. Dividing by your XP per hour gives total hours, then we convert to days using your hours-per-day and to weeks. The curve plots cumulative XP so you can see how the requirement accelerates at high levels. All numbers are illustrative assumptions, not a specific game's table.

What Should You Do?

Because the curve accelerates, the fastest progress comes from methods that boost XP per hour, not just playing longer. If the time looks too long, raise XP per hour (better routes, XP buffs) or lower your target. Use the leveling-route comparison tool to see which method yields the most XP per hour for your playstyle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these XP numbers from a real game?

No. They come from an illustrative curve (base 1000, exponent 1.5). Replace the base and exponent with your game's known values for a closer estimate.

Why do later levels take so long?

The exponent makes per-level XP grow with level, so high levels need much more XP than early ones.

How do I lower the time?

Increase XP per hour via better routes or buffs, or pick a lower target level. The route comparison tool helps here.

What if I play more than 3 hours a day?

Enter your real hours per day; the days and weeks outputs update automatically.

Does this include quest or event bonuses?

No, it uses a flat XP per hour you provide. Add event bonuses into that number.
